My career is marked by a series of notable achievements, including significant number and quality of venture-related exits as well as strengthening a Fortune 50 company’s Competitive advantage: • 2 noteworthy VC exits include my participation in Relayr's acquisition by Munich Re for $200M and Freshly's acquisition by Nestlé for $1.5B. • At Comcast TPX, I pioneered the Comcast INVENT™ and CVI© initiatives, reinforcing their competitive advantage and launching products like: - Connectivity: Xfinity App / xFi and Storm-Ready WiFi - Video & Entertainment: Xumo TV / Sky Glass, Xfinity Games, Flex & Stream App, Peacock - Smart Home: xCam3: indoor camera, Xfinity Home Self-Protection, - Experience & Accessibility: Xfinity Rewards, Xfinity Assistant, Accessibility Big Button Voice Remote. Moien Giashi, PhD

Moien is a Polymer Engineer and Materials Scientist turned venture capital investor specializing in deep tech. He is a Principal at GreenSky Ventures($70M+ in AUM), where he leads deep tech investments. Moien serves as a board observer, board member, advisor, or director to multiple startups including seven GreenSky Ventures' portfolio companies. He is also a board member at Altitude Accelerator, and he chairs the Advisory Board for the University of Alberta’s Chemical and Materials Engineering Department. Before his career in VC and Entrepreneurship Moien authored 18 peer-reviewed scientific publications in Nanotechnology and Polymer Science that has been cited 1,100+ times. Moien advises startups across a range of areas, including: Fundraising: Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A; Operations: Managing the internal ops and ops strategy; Go-to-Market Strategy: Focused on deep tech hardware/software solutions; and Development and Branding: Software, web, and storytelling.
