Tech leader and innovator who believes in combining expertise with authenticity. Recently transitioned to Sr. Manager Tech Innovation for AWS Global Sales Tech after founding and leading the OPTICS (Optimization Intelligence for Cloud Systems) team, which grew from zero to a global force of 40+ under my leadership. My path to tech wasn't traditional. Starting as a Solutions Analyst at The Weather Channel, I grew through IBM's acquisition, and landed at AWS where I've spent 6+ years evolving from individual contributor to leader. Along the way, I built a team that transformed how AWS customers approach optimization and FinOps, while fostering an environment where bringing your whole self to work isn't just allowed - it's encouraged. As a speaker at multiple AWS re:Invents and a leader in the cloud optimization space, I focus on driving innovation while creating cultures where teams can thrive. Each challenge in my journey - from starting in tech with an Animal Science degree to battling cancer early in my career to building global teams during a pandemic - has shaped my leadership approach: lead with purpose, embrace challenges, and never underestimate the power of authenticity. I am an MBA graduate from the University of Kentucky, where I added business and leadership skills to my technical engineering background. My passion is for the aerospace and technology industries, where I believe many of the most challenging and important problems of our time are being tackled. Pursuing this interest, I've had several internships at various NASA centers and tried to focus my education and hobbies around these areas. I've also added experience through undergraduate research at the University of Kentucky, where I volunteered in the UAV lab and worked for the university Space Systems Lab. My goal is to put my technical and people skills to good use and make impactful contributions to the future.

With over 8 years of experience in video production, editing, and strategy, I am a passionate and creative storyteller who can deliver engaging and impactful visual content for diverse audiences and platforms. As the Lead Video Producer at Republic Airways, I work closely with the communications and marketing teams to concept, budget, and shoot videos for broadcast, website, newsletters, and social media, as well as photography for comms and social media. I am driven by the mission of Republic Airways to provide a safe, clean, and reliable flying experience, and I strive to showcase the stories, values, and culture of our organization and our people through my work. I also bring a diverse perspective and experience to the team, as I am fluent in German and have worked as a freelance portrait and event photographer in different states. In my current role, I have implemented several process improvements for video production, cutting project completion time by 30%, and created video content that delivered an average of 20% more engagement compared to previous work on social channels like Instagram Reels and Tik Tok. I have also overseen the budget and execution of a live streaming workflow for delivering internal broadcasts to over 3300 employees across the globe, and supported executive level clients in video projects for comms. Additionally, I have tracked 5-6 different video projects per quarter for delivery with multiple rounds of approvals and budgets between 15k and 135k, all of which were delivered on time, to spec, and at budget. Some of the skills that I use and apply in my role are Wrike, video editing, video production, and video strategy. I am also an Emmy and Telly award winner, and have an AVID newscutter and media composer certification.
