Growing up, I battled severe anxiety, agoraphobia, and panic attacks - challenges that often made the world feel like a daunting place. These experiences shaped me deeply, teaching me the value of patience, resilience, and the quiet strength found in vulnerability. My journey through these challenges wasn’t easy, but it was transformative. It allowed me to develop a deep empathy for others that has been the foundation of my clinical and professional practice.
With over a decade at the helm of healthcare and life sciences groups, I’ve had the privilege of leading teams in efforts that not only advance medicine and mental health, but also touch lives. I've honed a unique ability to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable strategies.
To become an effective Medical Affairs leader, I’ve learned to address the needs and concerns of healthcare providers, my teams, and stakeholders. I’ve been able to architect several Medical Affairs organizations, launching 5 pharmaceuticals at Alkermes, Pfizer and Flexion as well as 3 diagnostic products at Natera. Additionally, I have founded numerous mental health programs from the ground up at Foundations Recovery Network and University at California San Francisco. These programs focused on Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar and Substance Use Disorders.
In my current role I lead a high-impact team of medical professionals dedicated to driving clinical adoption and advancing the science of precision oncology. My role is to develop and execute strategic field engagement initiatives, ensuring that our medical team effectively communicates the clinical value of Guardant’s cutting-edge liquid biopsy technologies to key stakeholders, including oncologists, pathologists, and healthcare systems. I help shape the future of cancer care, ensuring patients have access to the most advanced genomic insights for informed treatment decisions.
