I am Martin McGloin, a product leader with over eight years of experience in nurturing and scaling products with a global reach. My academic journey began with philosophy at Cambridge, providing me with a solid foundation in critical thinking and analysis. However, recognizing the need for a more hands-on technical skill set, I transitioned into software development, where I found my true passion in product management. As the Chief Product Officer at Energy Control and an "Airfluenser" at Lindab, I am deeply involved in steering product strategies and innovation within the PropTech space. My roles enable me to shape the future of building management, focusing on sustainability, efficiency, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. My tenure as the Head of Product at Airthings for Business was particularly transformative. Over six years, I was integral to the product's growth journey, evolving it into a leading IoT solution for indoor air quality monitoring that now services over 6000 buildings worldwide. This role not only underscored my commitment to creating impactful products but also highlighted my ability to drive significant market success. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am an avid learner and connector. Co-hosting the award-winning Norwegian geek podcast, Praktisk PropTech, with Tommy Hagenes, I relish in sparking discussions that propel the industry forward. Kron is one of the fastest growing industry players in Norway and joined forces with Storebrand in 2023. The combination of Kron's user experience and 10x pace of growth over the last years and Storebrand's product expertise and strong distribution, has already resulted in accelerated growth in number of investors as well as assets under management. Surpassed 12 billion of assets under management year end 2023, an increase of more than 11 billion since the beginning of 2021. As former CCO ecommerce and Invoice at Vipps, I have built a thorough understanding of leading interdisciplinary teams. Together with my Vipps-teams, I developed new solutions resulting in 100% (yoy) growth in ecommerce and digitalization of 30 million paper invoices in 9 months (i.e. the equivalent of the aggregated number digitized over the past 10 years). By fostering innovation leadership and problem solving, I challenge the existing and simplify everything from value chains and business models to technical solutions and customer experiences.
