Founder of Resource Catalysts (R|CAT). Sensemaking of the air quality and technology landscape is what I do. I put environmental communications in context. I connect seemingly disparate perspectives among business, government, and community for meaningful interactions toward better air quality. Creating bridges for environmental communications through science, foresight, and belief. Chemical Engineer applying entrepreneurial skills, through the interplay of my technical, social, cultural, and lived experiences. I understand the air quality and power generation sector, navigate through and liaise with the regulatory agency landscape, and seek opportunities for public participation. Sensemaking with the divergent and expansive. My ChemE process analysis and systems mindset naturally operates in discovering patterns and outliers. I find the threads of continuity from divergent sources. Clients value my depth, breadth of experience, and relationships. My ikigai, through work and leisure, shapes my unique perspectives and experiences. More than 35 years ago starting in air quality permitting with the USEPA, this has led to varied roles in the regulatory, policy, and compliance framework. Through my journey thus far, there are recurring themes - working well with (and for) agencies, deconstructing technically dense information and EH&S regulatory and compliance management practices into a shared language, technical writing for a variety of audiences, and being responsive to and appreciative of public involvement. All themes involve the person-centered experience, with the shared outcome of EH&S protection and benefits, where technologies and processes are explained. Coaching techniques and training beyond air quality. Among the first Tiny Habits® Certified Coaches trained and Behavior Design Boot Camp alums by BJ Fogg. First cohort as an Ikigai Tribe Coach. Specialize in an Improv Habits Mindset as an applied improv practitioner. Entered PQ (Positive Intelligence) Coach via Cohort 9. Endeavors for meaningful personal knowledge management. Behavior design and habit formation, applied improvisation, and ikigai coaching techniques in the PQ space enhance my ability to serve folks.
